Traditional rulers in Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State have promised to give unflinching support to Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration, to fully accomplish its agenda for the well-being of the people.
The traditional rulers, who made the promise during the 3rd Coronation Anniversary of Oniwoye of Iwoyeland, Oba Ololade Buhari, at the monarch’s palace at Iwoye, Yewa South Local Government Area of the State, noted that the governor deserved their cooperation, as he had not reneged on his electoral promises to the citizenry.
Speaking, Aboro of Iboroland, Oba (Dr.) Daniel Salako, affirmed that Governor Abiodun had done very well, especially in the area of infrastructural development across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
He further commended the governor for his strides towards the provision of adequate educational infrastructure through the “Yellow Roof” initiative, saying, ’’it has made education more interesting and attractive to our children and at the same time, made teaching more convenient for teachers, who hitherto teach under bad condition”.
In his remarks, the celebrant, Oba Buhari, while appreciating the governor’s support for traditional institutions in the state, lauded him for the ongoing reconstruction of Ilaro/Owode road, adding that rehabilitation of the road had eased vehicular activities and improved commercial undertakings, among others, in the area.
The monarch commended the people for their support since his installation, urging them not to relent in working towards ensuring the infrastructural development of the town.
