SOCIO-CULTURAL GROUP IDENTIFIES WITH OGUN BUDGET COMMISSIONER

A prominent socio-cultural group of Yewa extraction, the Recreation Club of Ilaro has identified with one of its dedicated members, Recreator Olaolu Olabimtan on his reappointment as the Commissioner for Budget and Planning by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

This was brought to the fore during a courtesy visit by the executive members of the club to the State Commissioner in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Speaking during the visit, President of the Club, Recreator Kayode Salako, acknowledged the tireless and result-based efforts of the Commissioner in the successes recorded by the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration, with particular reference to his impact in the various empowerment initiatives and other priority projects in the zone, noting that the Commissioner had performed creditably well in the discharge of his stately duties, which is clearly evident by his reappointment.

The President of the club described the Commissioner as a down-to-earth individual who relates well with the people, easy going, quiet, jovial and highly diligent person whose contribution to humanity would ever be noticed in the annals of the State, admonishing him to continue in his way of life.

He stated, “We are here to identify with one of us, Recreator Olaolu Olabimtan, the Ogun State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, who had been performing wonderfully well in his capacity. Your reappointment has attested to the numerous successes achieved during your first term in the same office.

“Moreover, your laudable and landmark achievements are still speaking volumes among the people of Yewa South in particular, and Ogun State in general” he stated.

Responding, Mr. Olabimtan appreciated the executive members of the club for the visit and assured them that he would not let them down as a member of the group and as an illustrious indigene of the Yewa division and the State at large.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a Souvenir to the Commissioner.
