The Yewa Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (YECCIMA) in Ogun West Senatorial District, has assured the people of the area of continued assistance, in order to secure more business loans from the Federal Government, to boost their businesses in commerce and agriculture.
The Yewa Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (YECCIMA) in Ogun West Senatorial District, has assured the people of the area of continued assistance, in order to secure more business loans from the Federal Government, to boost their businesses in commerce and agriculture.
The President of YECCIMA, Otunba Wasiu Taiwo gave the assurance while speaking with journalists after the Annual General Meeting of the body, held at the Chambers House in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area.
Otunba Taiwo said the Chamber in the past had helped many citizens of the region to secure loan facilities from the Federal Government through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to enhance Agribusiness and others. According to him, ‘’this body is more interested in the economic emancipation of our people in this region because we are closer to the people at the grassroots. In the past, we have secured loans in the area of Agribusiness, Small and Medium Enterprises Investment Scheme (AGSMES), and Anchor Borrower, among others’’.
He posited that the Chamber was not only to partner with the government but, to bring direct investment, especially in agric produce that could generate employment for the youths of the area and beyond, calling on the State government to give it needed support. Otunba Taiwo urged the people of the area particularly, the business owners, artisans, and farmers to join the organization, to explore numerous business opportunities for the growth and development of their enterprises.
