The Chairman, Yewa Peoples Development Council,(YPDC), Professor Rahamon A. Bello , F.Eng today held a peace and reconciliatory meeting with the His Royal Majesty, Oba Lukmon Kuoye, the Olu of Imasai, Yewa and and his estranged brother, Prince Rahmon Ajayi over the protracted crisis in Imasai Kingdom. The meeting held in the State capital,Abeokuta took far-reaching decisions on how to achieve lasting peace in Imasai Kingdom.
The meeting was also able to resolve the differences between the Kabiesi and Prince Rahmon Ajayi over the Obaship tussle in the ancient town. Both the Kabiesi and Prince Rahmon Ajayi at the end of the meeting embraced each other and agreed to work together in the larger interest of the people of Imasai and the Palace. Both parties agreed to put personal interests aside and work for the peace and progress of Imasai-Yewa.
The meeting also has in attendance Commodore Kunle Olawunmi (Rtd) and Ajiroba Dapo Oke,FCIA. The Kabiesi,Oba Kuoye was accompanied to the peace meeting by Chief Bolarinwa Ewulo , the Akinrogun of Imasai while Prince Rahmon was accompanied by Chief Akinleye aka Elese meji
It is expected that all warring parties in the Imasayi crisis will eschew bitterness , embrace peace and allow meaningful developments come to Imasayi Kingdom under the rulership of Kabiesi, Oba Lukmon Kuoye and his Council of Chiefs.
