AYETORO GETS NEW MARKET CHIEFS TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES

The Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba AbdulAzeez Adelakun has installed new market chiefs in Ayetoto town towards improving the trading and economic activities in the area, with a charge to mobilise their people to continue to support the programmes of the present administration across the state

Oba Adelakun, who made the call at the Installation and Presentation of Staff of Office to the new Otun Babaloja, Chief Ramoni Olojede and Iyaloja, Chief (Mrs.) Sekinat Fatogun, at African Primary School playing ground, Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Governmnet, said government was committed to improving the well-being of the people, especially women through Nigeria For Women Project (NFWP), alongside the ‘Oko’wo Dapo’ initiatives and many others

Represented by Jagumolu of Ayetoro, Chief Muritala Adedeji, Oba Adelakun commended government’s efforts towards improving the socio-economic condition of the people, especially women, which had empowered them and reduced cases of domestic violence, as well as providing them with more opportunities to be self-sufficient through provision of necessary infrastructure and empowerment initiatives,

The Monarch urged the people to support the newly installed Market Chiefs, so as to accelerate the development of markets in the area.

Remarking, Iyaloja General of Ogun State, Alhaja Yemisi Abass and Babaloja of Yewaland, Chief Adewale Adesina, thanked the people of Ayetoro for their support during selection of the new Chiefs, expressing optimism that the installation would facilitate development and peaceful coexistence among the traders, while appealing for their continued support.

In their separate acceptance speeches, Otun Babaloja and Iyaloja of Ayetoro, who appreciated the traditional ruler and people of Ayetoro for giving them the opportunity to serve, promised not to let them down, appealing for government’s intervention in rehabilitating Ayetoro Markets and environs.
