OBA OLUGBENLE RALLIES YEWAS IN DIASPORA FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT….As YDU North America Changes Leadership.

The Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle has given a charge to Yewa indigenes in North America to unite themselves and make visible contributions to the development of their communities back home.

Oba Olugbenle gave the charge at the 2022 Yewa Descendants Union(YDU) North America branch Day held in Baltimore, where he briefed members of the union and their guests on his vision for building unity and a sustainable development for Yewaland and successes recorded so far.

Highlights of the event was the election of new officers which saw Navy Chief Wuraola Oje Kuye as the new President and Mr Femi Orebiyi as Vice President.

The Union resolved to execute a project in Ijofin-Yewa as a way of showing appreciation to Oba Maruf Ayinla Awode, the Ololo of Ijofin for his outstanding moral support to the Union and expressed it’s appreciation to Senator Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) and Dr Ayodeji Otegbeye for their support towards the activities of the union over the years.

Dignitaries at the event include Olori Omotayo Olugbenle, Otunba (Dr) Samuel Ayinde Ibikunle, Chief Dele Oderinde, Professor Adewale Laditan, Dr Ayodeji Otegbeye, High Chief Abiodun Ilo, and Chief Michael Ajuwon, among others.
