The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle MFR, was awarded a Merit award for the development of the nation.
The award was given to him by the Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, NIESV at the International Conference Centre, Abuja where he was represented by the Majeobaje of Olu Ilaro and Baaroyin of Imala-Yewa, Chief Kayode Odunaro.
The President of NIESV, ESV Johnbull Amayeanbo stated that the Royal father who is the only Paramount Ruler in NIESV is a mentor and role model for him and many in the profession adding that he was sure that the royal father would have been physically present at the event but for the fact that the event came on the eve of his celebration of his 11th year on the throne.
