We celebrate with all the people of Yewa land as the Yewa People’s Development council (YPDC) was inaugurated on the 31st of December by the Paramount ruler of Yewa Land Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle the Olu of Ilaro.
The YPDC is an umbrella association which also comprises of all associations of Yewa people both home and abroad. This council was setup inorder to oversee the affairs of Yewa land, unite the entire people of Yewa, showcase Yewa culture and community to the world and also to stand as a voice for Yewa people, liaising with the government to ensure the development of Yewa land and the satisfaction of Yewa people.
During the inauguration, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle urged Governor Dapo Abiodun, the present governor of Ogun State to hasten development of Yewa land and also encouraged the indigenes towards self development of the land.
Gov. Dapo Abiodun responded, pledging his commitment to the development of all the premises of the state.
