Nigeria – The Yewa People Development Council, YPDC, has commended Hon. Jimoh Olaifa, representing the people of Yewa-North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Abuja.
The council in a letter of Commendation to Hon. Olaifa, signed by its Secretary, Pastor Bamidele Obafemi Akinola, wrote: “We refer to our request for help on the unlawful detention of four of the Ayetoro-Yewa people, officers of Dynamic Farmers Association in Ayetoro, Yewa North, who were detained from March 2022 up to the time you legally effected their final release this month November 2022, having spent upward of seven months in incarceration at the Force CID Headquarters, Homicide Section, Area 210, Abuja.
“The detention was at the behest of one Umaru Bamayi, a Fulani Herdsman.
“The entire Yewa People, represented by Yewa People Development Council (YPDC) and the Yewa Traditional Council express their profound appreciation for your intervention on this case through the expending of your busy time, money, connections and resources to secure their release. You are a Gem of Yewa extract on the land of this country Nigeria.
“Of note is that out of all our Political representatives in both the National and

assistance, you were the ONLY one who rose up to the call and the challenge
while others appeared unconcerned”.

The whole Yewaland salute and commend
you sir. This your Heroic action would go down in the history of Yewaland and
in the Hall of Fame as a Man of Conscience who stood out firm and represented
Yewaland in time of Cry for Justice.
It is extremely rare to find a selfless leader and a Representative like you who
listen to the cry of the people of his land of birth intently to deescalate a terrible situation such as what was met upon our people by tribe of the hegemony power
on the throne in Nigeria.
You have by this your effort, raised the bar for who should elected to represent
us in Yewaland.
You have given us the template of measurement of performance. You have made your position of great repute compared with the other two Law Makers who somehow became unperturbed to our cry to create a safer environment for all Yewa People. It is truly an honor to have you as a listening and caring representative from Yewaland.
Thank you so much for your incredible leadership skills and commitment to our
people and Yewaland.
