Contributions of all and sundry are key to socio economic development of Yewa North Local Government, as it will also help in the delivery of our electioneering promises in the area.
The newly elected Chairman, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. (Dr.) Olusola Akinbode, stated this in Ayetoro, at a meeting with Head of Departments and some indigenes, declaring that his administration would operate an open-door policy to give room for participatory democracy.
Akinbode promised that the new administration would execute developmental projects and implement programmes that would improve peoples’ standard of living.
He called for workers’ cooperation in achieving the electioneering promises for the people through dedication and diligence, assuring the staffers of prompt attention to their welfare.
Dr. Akinbode, who appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for the opportunity to serve, solicited for peoples’ support, particularly traditional rulers, in the successful administration of the local government.
Earlier, Head of Local Government Administration in the council, Mrs. Oluseye Akinsola, pledged the career officers’ loyalty in uplifting the local government to enviable height.
In their separate remarks, an Elder statemen, Baba Olu Agemo, Bashorun Bisiriyu Popoola and Chief Kunle Adeosun, lauded the infrastructural development of the present administration, calling on the new Local Government Council to work alongside such initiatives at the grassroot level.
