The Legislative Arm of Ipokia Local Government Area has commended Governor Dapo Abiodun, for elevating their son, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo, as a substantive Chief of Staff.
The Legislators made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Office of the Chief of Staff, led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Akeem Adeyanju, appreciating the governor for the elevation and restoring their confidence in the local government’s affairs in the state.
The Councillors described Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo’s elevation as a significant morale booster for the people of Ipokia Local Government Area, using the occasion to appeal for additional government appointments and opportunities for their local government, comparing themselves to Oliver Twist, seeking more.
In his remarks, the Chief of Staff, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo, urged the legislators to consistently conduct themselves with dignity and demonstrate a high level of competence in the discharge of their duty, calling on them to promote peaceful co -existence that would enhance the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
He further assured them that their requests would be communicated to the governor, while noting that similar appeals had been received from other parts of the state.
