
The appointment of the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) of Yewa North has been described as a product of merit, hard work and careful consultation
The Chairman, Dr. Olusola Akinbode, stated this during the swearing in ceremony of the SLG, Alh. Lukumon Akinyemi, at the Council Secretariat, Ayetoro, urging the new secretary to work hand in hand with the Governor Abiodun-led administration to bring dividends of democracy to the grass root.
Dr. Akinbode, said public service was the core engine room of government, charging the SLG to bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to bear in the discharge of his duties.
In his reaction, the newly sworn in SLG, Alh. Akinyemi appreciated the state government, for the trust and opportunity to serve his people, while pledging to dedicate himself to the pursuit of excellence, through the help of God and the entire workforce, to move the Local Government to a greater height.
The Elder Statesmen, Baba Olu Agemo, Alh. Bisiriru Popoola and Chief Kunle Adeosun, thanked the Governor and the Chairman for the opportunity given to the new Secretary to serve, saying all Ayetoro people would forever be grateful.
Other dignitaries present were past Assembly Members from the Local Government, career officers led by the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mrs. Kehinde Akinsola, family members as well as well-wishers.
