INAUGURATION OF IJOUN PROGRESSIVE YOUTH FORUM, IJOUN, YEWA NORTH LGA
On Saturday, 31st, December 2022 We joined His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Gabriel Akanbi Ogunji, Arapotaniyewu 1, Onijoun of Ijoun-Yewa to formally inaugurate Ijoun Progressive Youth Forum (IPYF) at the Ijoun town hall, Ijoun-Yewa, Ogun State.
In my address to the teeming youth of Ijoun, I appreciate the activeness and resilience of the Ijoun youth representatives at Yewa Youth Association for matching their words with action that resulted in the timely formation of the youth body. I noted that as young people we have enormous responsibilities on us to be main agents of change and progress for our community. I thank immensely His Royal Majesty, the Onijoun of Ijoun-Yewa, HRM, Gabriel Akanbi Ogunji for all the support to bringing the dream of having a united youth body for Ijoun-Yewa a reality.
In his address, His Royal Majesty the Onijoun of Ijoun-Yewa thank His Royal Majesty the Olu Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Alayeluwa Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle for the establishment of Yewa Youth Association which today inspires the establishment of Ijoun Progressive Youth Forum (IPYF) for the advancement of the youth of Ijoun, Yewaland and beyond. He appreciate executive of Yewa People’s Development Council (YPDC) for guidance of the Youth body and thank Yewa Youth Association executive for not relenting in their activities. He charged Ijoun Youths to unite and shun all divisive tendencies that can mar the laudable vision of the Youth Forum and its parent body. He thereafter promises all necessary positive support to nurture the youth body to many achievements that will stimulate it to become the first among equals in Yewaland and beyond.
Thereafter, I inaugurated a seven (7)- member Transition committee ably led by Com. Isikalu Olanrewaju to pilot the affairs of the youth body after which the election of a substantive executive shall be done.
In attendance at the event are the Adele of Ijoun-Yewa, Hon. (Chief) Olaleye Emmanuel Alani, JP; titled Chiefs of Ijoun-Yewa; State Vice Chairman (Ogun West), NYCN, Com. Adeleye Tajudeen; Chief of Staff to the NYCN Ogun State Chairman, Com. Yinus AbdulFatai; CDA Chairmen in Ijoun; Youth Leaders across Ijoun; among many others.
