The Yewa Youth Association (YYA) is set to hold a high-impact leadership gathering for selected youth leaders across the region on Saturday, 24th January 2026, in Ilaro-Yewa. The retreat, tagged “Yewa Youth Leaders Capacity Building Retreat,” is designed to equip young leaders with the mindset, skills, and orientation needed to become responsible change agents within their communities.
The retreat, themed “Building Responsible Youth Leaders for Sustainable Community Development in Yewaland,” will feature a special panel session with seasoned professionals and community leaders who will share practical insights on leadership, civic responsibility, youth engagement, and community development.
Speaking on the initiative, Comr. Olarenwaju Isikalu, President of the Yewa Youth Association, stated that the role of young leaders in shaping the future of the region has never been more critical. He further explained that the retreat is specifically designed for youth leaders occupying positions such as presidents, secretaries, and Olori-Odos of towns across Yewaland, with a view to strengthening grassroots leadership and coordination.
The retreat will take place at Oronna Hall, Ilaro-Yewa, by 10:00am.
