Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has disclosed that the biggest dairy and cattle ranches with 5,000 herds of cattle, will soon be established in Ipokia and Yewa South Local Government Areas of the State.
The Governor made the disclosure during a Stakeholders Meeting, at June 12 Cultural Centre Kuto, Abeokuta, saying the ranches were to be sited in the State at the directive of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking, Governor Dapo Abiodun said the President had taken audacious steps that had repositioned the economy and saved the nation's currency from multiple exchange rates, adding that the President's efforts had also shored up the nation's reserve to $45bn.
‘’ The biggest dairy and cattle ranch factories will soon be established in Yewa South and Ipokia Local Government Areas. This is at the instance of Mr. President. These farms are going to start with 5,000 herd of cattle and they are starting very soon.
"Mr. President travels all over the world and each time investors meet him and say they want to come to Nigeria, he will say to them, 'I think where you want to go is Ogun State," he said.
Abiodun observed that the bold and ambitious economic reforms of President Tinubu, his focus and visible achievements coupled with his clear direction and purposeful leadership had inspired hope and endeared him to the heart of Nigerians home and abroad.
The Governor emphasised that his administration had made measurable progress in delivering dividends of democracy to the people in the area of education, infrastructure, job creation, youth and women development, healthcare, agriculture and food security, affordable housing, technological innovation, industrial growth and economic expansion.
While reeling out the administration's score card in the last 6 years and 8 months, the State helmsman, said over 1,700 super highways had been constructed, adding that over 7000 houses had been built, as well as over 400 Primary Healthcare Centre were also equipped.
Appreciating the people for their support and cooperation, he assured that his administration would work harder to state a better place for all.
