AYETORO MONARCH ASSURES RESIDENTS OF TACKLING INCESSANT INSECURITY

The Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba AbdulAzeez Adelakun, has reassured residents of the town of the Yewa People Development Council’s (YPDC) determination to address the increasing rate of insecurity such as, lawlessness, criminality and banditry, in collaboration with security agencies and use of traditional approach.

Oba Adelakun, who made this known when he received the newly posted Divisional Police Officer, (DPO), CSP Nurudeen Adewale and his men, who paid him a courtesy call in his palace at Ayetoro, said the DPO would usher in new dawn to the town.

The monarch, represented by the Amona Oba of Ayetoro, Elder Kunle Amosun, emphasised that the Council would continue to put necessary security measures in place for the safety of the people in the area.

“The council will continue to take issues of security very seriously as we are collaborating with the security committee set up by the Yewa People Development Council (YPDC), led by the Chairman, Commodore Kunle Olawunmi (Rtd.), who are working assiduously for the peaceful coexistence among diverse ethnic groups in the area”, he said.

On his part, Baale of Kessan, Chief Morufu Opajobi, commended the present administration for the infrastructural development and huge investment in the security sector, to promote safety and attract more investors, charging the newly posted DPO to be diligent in the discharge of his duties to the people.

In his remarks, CSP Adewale appreciated the Alaye in Council for his unalloyed support towards ensuring the success of security agencies while carrying out their duties, promising to work in tandem with the Council to actualise its vision of reducing criminality and protecting lives and property in the area.
