The Chairman, Yewa North Local Government Area, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi, has cautioned residents against indiscriminate bush burning, to avert fire disaster that could lead to loss of lives and property.
Hon. Ogunyomi, who made this known in an interview with newsmen in Ayetoro, cautioned all residents, particularly farmers, who may want to clear bushes for the planting season, to refrain from bushing burning, as it could lead to infernos, enjoining security outfits in the area to ensure protection of residents, especially farmers and their produce.
He lauded the collaborative efforts of security agencies at providing a crime-free society, to stem criminal activities such as kidnapping, robbery, killing and other crimes in the area.
The Local Government boss appreciated the present government, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, for ensuring peaceful co-existence across the state, saying no nation could thrive in a rancorous atmosphere, calling on the people to continue to support the developmental agenda of the present administration, so as to attract more dividends of democracy.
