Nigeria, Ogun State – One of the projects being promoted by the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle to fast track development in Yewaland has materialized as the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) announces the appointment of Mr Moses Ayokunle Ola as Director of the Ilaro Community Study Center of the University.
Omo’ba Femi Dokunmu, Media Consultant to the Paramount Ruler, who disclosed in a statement issued in Ilaro-Yewa said, in a swift reaction to the cheery development, Oba Olugbenle has expressed his delight and appreciation to the NOUN Management under the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olufemi Peter’s, for facilitating the formal take off of the Center with the appointment of an Acting Director.
Omooba Dokunmu quoted Oba Olugbenle to have said, “This is one of the many developmental projects which we have in the pipeline and we shall remain focussed and undaunting in creating opportunities for our people in Yewaland, irrespective of their religious or political leanings”.
Oba Olugbenle, according to him, has since given instructions to members of the Study Centre Project Committee constituted by the Ilaro Community to liaise with the Director and provide necessary support and enabling environment that would assist him to have a smooth and seamless take-off.
A member of the Committee, Comrade Abiodun Olakanmi, Dokunmu stated, said “the Ilaro Community has already put in place a befitting and well equipped center with the support of Oba Olugbenle and other well-meaning philanthropists, noting that the Center willl provide many benefits to Ilaro Community in particular and surrounding communities in general, which will include job opportunities, boost to commerce and admission opportunity to many working class people, among others, to acquire University Degrees without stress or losing their jobs”.
“The posting of Mr Moses Ola of the Abeokuta Study Centre as Acting Director of the Ilaro Community Study Centre which was dated August 16, 2022 takes immediately effect”, Dokunmu confirmed.
