The Alaiyeluwa Agbinrekoti Oba Benjamin Alabi Olanite ( Egi- Ogboye, Akanku IV), the Onimeko of Imeko Kingdom and member of the Board of Trustees of YEWA PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (YPDC) has advocated concerted effort of all sons, daughters, friends and associates of Imeko Kingdom towards the much needed revolutionary transformation of the land.
The monarch emphasized this while expressing his gratitude to God and all the people of the land, friends, families and associates during the 10th coronation anniversary thanksgiving held last Sunday at Methodist Church Oja Kekere, Diocese of Ketu, Imeko.
Oba Olanite, baston in the euphoria of joy of his successful 10 years reign recounted some of the challenges faced and landmark achievements.
According to the Onimeko, he was overwhelmed by the turn out of people both from within and outside Nigeria who came to rejoice with him saying their support financially, morally and spiritually had contributed to his success so far; and whatever he is today is owned to God and the people.
He then solicited more support for him to do more for the land reiterating that all hands must be on deck by the stakeholders for Imeko, Ketuland and Yewalandf
in general to be able to reclaim their rightful place among the comity of communities in the world
The Oba appealed to well-meaning individuals in the area to ensure that the youths are gainfully employed as future leaders by establishing industries and manufacturing companies since the task of development is a collective responsibility.
He promised to continue to put people-oriented programmes in the front burner even as he upholds the culture and tradition of Ketuland as a whole.
The king also used the occasion to appeal to the government on the much needed total overhaul of. Abeokuta- Imeko-Igbogbo (border town) road to alleviate the agony being faced by commuters and people in the area on this road.
Present at the event were members of Imeko/ Afon local government chapter of YPDC led by the Chairman, Com. Olutunde Aninkan among other dignitaries.
