MONARCH ADVOCATES SYNERGY FOR EFFECTIVE HEALTHCARE DELIVERY

Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba AbdulAzeez Adelakun, has called for a stronger collaboration among government’s health institutions in the country, towards the provision of qualitative and affordable service delivery.

Oba Adelakun made this call while playing host to a team comprised of the Management Board of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, and Senator, representing Ogun West, Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola, represented by his Personal Assistant on Legislative Matters, Otunba Niyi Sanusi, in his palace, Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Speaking through the Apagunpote of Ayetoro, Chief Wahab Elegbede, the Monarch said public hospitals and primary healthcare facilities at the federal, state and local government levels needed to complement one another, to enable the people to have access to unhindered healthcare services.

He stated that there should be a mutual relationship in their activities against any competition that might arise, lauding the efforts of the present administration in the state for its huge investment in the health sector.

Earlier, the Chief Medical Director of FMC, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu, while commending the developmental strides of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, particularly in the health sector, said the centre was interested in offering extended healthcare to the grassroots, expressing delight over the support of the monarch, towards the FMC Annex in Ayetoro that would commence operation soon.

      On his part, Senator Adeola, appreciated the management of FMC for its efforts at bringing healthcare services to the Senatorial District, assuring of giving necessary support for seamless medical activities when the annex becomes operational.
