Residents of Yewa North Local Government (YNLG) Area of Ogun State, have expressed delight over the commissioning of people-oriented projects across the council area.
The projects, which comprised of 12 units of lock-up shops at Dangote-Ibese Market, Ibese, a Borehole with a Gasoline Generator at Iyana Meta and a block of two classrooms, Moro, both in Ohunbe Ward. Others are a block of two classrooms at Moro and Oke-Odo, Tobolo, Ijoun Ward, 14 units lock-up shops at Oja-Odan Market, Ebutte Ward, grading of rural roads across Sunwa, Ayetoro 1 and 2 Wards, and many more.
In their separate remarks, a former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Suraj Adekunbi, the Aboro of Ibeseland, Oba Oluwaseyi Mulero commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his support in the execution of projects across Local Government Areas (LGAs).
Adekunbi, lauded the effort of the council Chairman, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi for complementing state government’s developmental agenda at the grassroots, noted that the projects had created job opportunities for local artisans.
Also speaking, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Yewa North, Mrs. Elizabeth Solomon lauded the present administration for priotising workers’ welfare by creating a conducive atmosphere for them to work, promising to reciprocate the gesture with dedication and diligence.
Contributing, a resident, Mr. Akeem Odu, who described the project as worthwhile, said provision of social amenities would improve standard of living of rural dwellers.
